What you can do for better results

When trying to lose weight or tone up, it’s easy to get in the mindset of focusing on what you CAN’T have. Needless to say, being in a space of restriction or deprivation is never going to make the process / journey enjoyable. This is why I always encourage clients to focus on what they can ADD more of to get better results. Today I’m going to go over these 3 simple things:

Protein. Whether your goals are fat loss, muscle building or maintenance, you can benefit from adding more protein. Most people don’t eat enough for optimal results. Protein not only helps keep you satiated, it helps the recovery process, hair/skin/nail health and speeds up fat loss, to name a few!

Veggies. While there are some people who do get sufficient protein, I’m pretty sure everyone can eat some more veggies. Not only do they provide your body with a variety of vitamins, minerals and fiber, they also help take up space in your stomach if you have trouble with portion control. You can really load up on veggies to make meals bigger and more filling without much caloric impact. 

**Also, by filling up on more veggies and protein, chances are you’ll have less room for snacks and sweets (also because protein keeps your blood sugar more stable). And since you are focusing on what you can ADD, you won’t feel restricted / deprived. Remember, you can still have snacks & sweets but the poison is in the portion. Adding veggies & protein will make these easier to control.

Movement. Just moving around more in your everyday life. Parking further away, taking the stairs any chance you get, getting up and stretching every so often. There are so many small ways we can add more movement in our days that add up to make a big difference!

That’s it. 3 simple things you can ADD to your life that will make you feel more abundant, get you better results & improve your health : )
